Families…
Supporting each other…
The
Caring for Monmouth Families Program provides direct, community
based family-to-family support to children and families with special
emotional, behavioral and mental challenges.
As part of the New Jersey Children’s System of Care Initiative,
every family enrolled in the Monmouth County Care Management Organization,
Monmouth Cares, will be matched up with a specially trained Family
Support Partners. These are parents and guardians of children
who have already navigated the mazes of systems necessary to obtain
the care necessary for their own children to thrive and reach
their individual potentials. |
Empowerment…
Each family has individual
needs. No two families are alike. Consequently, when a family
has a child with emotional or behavioral problems, there is no
one solution for all families.
Through the use of Family Support Partners, Family Based Services
Association of NJ, Inc. empowers each family so that they can
recognize, express and seek out those services that are most needed
by their own particular family.

They can lend strength to a family in time of crisis, provide
parent-to-parent mentoring, training and can assist familiesin
dispute resolution. They help families form creative new strategies
to reach their goals. As a vital member of the Child and Family
Team, the Family Support Partner assists in the development of
the Individual Service Plan and helps the family provide feedback
about the plan. |
Partnership…
Family Based Services
Association of NJ, Inc. works closely with members of the New
Jersey Children’s System of Care Initiative to provide the most
comprehensive level of service to these families.

Our partner in this endeavor is the Care Management Organization
(CMO) of Monmouth County, Monmouth Cares (732- 222-8008). A Care
Manager from this agency is assigned to each family. They work
with the team to provide service coordination, help develop a
crisis plan, locate appropriate services and find and fund alternative
resources identified by the family as necessary in their Individual
Service Plan. |
